QuartzA notable specimen of lustrous, well formed, hexagonal prisms of Quartz with minor reddish brown Hematite tinting from the famous Red Feather Lakes area in northern Colorado. Well known Colorado collector George Robertson gave this piece to me (more appropriately my parents) as a present for my first birthday after a digging trip to the area a few months prior. This specimen is one of the largest presentations from this locality that I have seen with

and the size of the crystals places it in the upper ranks of all specimens found

sharpness and a slight amount of iridescent Bornite coating a few of the Tetrahedrite faces

The Brookites feature rich red to amber hues along with black "phantoms" like the classic specimens from the European Alps

Like many Ferberites

save a few rough spots on the back where it detached from the pocket
