Canfora was founded in 1946, and became internationally famous in 1962 when the sandals were sought out by Jacqueline Kennedy on a visit to Capri as First Lady. She ordered several pairs of sandals, including the K style which was designed especially for her by Amedeo Canfora. Every sandal is entirely hand sewn from the finest Italian leather, and the quality is exceptional.
