2022, Domaine Darviot-Perrin, MEURSAULT, 1er Cru, 'Perrières'From Aux Perrires, a parcel that is shared between Domaine Darviot Perrin and Coche Dury. Originally planted in 1937 half of it is in process of being replaced. Half is to be replanted next spring. Pale lemon yellow. The nose is a bit more massive but perhaps less fine. The oak adds to the punchy sense. This is a complete and powerful wine, with its own mineral acidity, but it moves me less than either Charmes or Genevrires. Drink from 2030 2038. ****
