‘Iwa Leioglyph
Description
‘Iwa LeioglyphApril 2025 Sterling Silver The iwa, or great frigatebird, is a common theme in Hawaiian art and fashion due in part to its long, graceful wings and split tail. The iwa is associated with strength and wayfaring and is a kinolau of Kaiona, the goddess of the lost. The style of the optional popcorn chain echoes the look of traditional Hawaiian olon fiber cordage, and the slightly satin finish on the leioglyph gives it a glow not unlike that of beach
The top of the front face is a stylized representation of wheat done in 14K yellow gold

Because I am a man who knows how to take a hint—and because her birthday was coming up—I put the beads aside
