Brenda Ray is maybe the nearest comparison I think of but Love Wonderland really have crafted a sound here that is quite unique and very much their own

A superb record that I shamefully missed from last year but have been given a chance to redeem myself thanks to this recent repress from Manchester's excellent Modern Love label
