Teke Mask 04These beautiful moon shaped masks come from the Teke people of the Congo. They are traditional worn by members of the Kiduma, a secret society that is responsible for organising social celebrations and rituals. Each mask is hand carved from indigenous wood and coloured with clay and paint. Stand is included. Please note stands may have minor imperfections.
They are perfect for styling as a low stool or as a decorative sculptural object for anywhere in the home

This container is hand-carved from indigenous wood by the Karamajong people of Uganda who are livestock farmers
The jug has natural imperfections and has developed a rich patina and wear over time
Calves become very attached to their blankets as the familiarity gives them a sense of security and helps them to self-soothe when feeling stressed or anxious
The bowls have been lovingly repaired with traditional techniques in keeping with their original authenticity
The low design of the stool suggests that the stool was made for practical purposes
