Donelan Obsidian Syrah 2011Donelean are a small, boutique Sonoma based winery producing Syrah, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Roussanne and Viognier. They have elected to prize quality over all other factors. They start with great terroir, because site trumps all variables, and then proceed with extreme selectivity, conscientious winemaking, and extensive blending trials.
