this is a very fine and interesting variant on the normally sherry-heavy Benrinnes house style

As the colour suggests the whisky has gathered big notes of mocha

potent maturity are seriously hard to find as they offer a much more accurate take on the distillate and its unique character

It changed hands many times until 1969 when it was sold to Eddie Cairns who then proceeded to upgrade the distillery and then sold it to Stanley Morrison (later Morrison Bowmore) in 1984
