A testimonial letter signed by five Amish men from Geauga Co., Ohio, appeared in the August 1899 issue of the Budget. One of those land seekers was Samuel Weaver who was the first Amish settler in Geauga Co., Ohio, and the first Amish settler in Oscoda Co., Michigan, relocating there in 1900. The small booklet
