Bamboo Tea Scoop (Chashaku) — Inscribed by Hasegawa Kanshū — TakayamaTakayama in Ikoma, Nara Prefecture, is Japan's historic center of bamboo tea ceremony craft, where artisans have shaped bamboo wares by hand for centuries. It is made by hand from natural bamboo by Takayama artisans of the long established Chikumeido workshop. A chashaku the slender bamboo scoop used to measure matcha into the tea bowl.
