2023 Domaine De Marcé, Touraine Coulée Galante Oisly, Loire Valley, FranceABOUT THE WINE Coule Galante hails from a single parcel of Sauvignon Blanc in the Oisly appellationa designated cru within Touraine known for producing some of the Loires most refined expressions of the grape. The vines are rooted in sandy clay soils over limestone, farmed sustainably and with increasing organic and biodynamic practices. Grapes are harvested by hand at optimal ripeness, then gently pressed and fermented at cool temperatures in

avoiding excessive manipulation and embracing texture

Soils here are a very particular kind of metamorphic rock called Phyllite

Then pomegranate and the unmistakable violet scent of good Sangiovese

and Loie to plant Pinot Noir in 1970 in what would become the fifth oldest vineyard in Oregon and the first vineyard on Worden Hill Road

The wine is aged for around 14 months including a period of time in French oak barrels if necessary

further concentrating yields
